What is PIN unlocking of car keys?

PIN unlocking of car keys is a way to open the door without having the key

How to Set PIN Cancellation

Here is an explanation of how to set the PIN release using a subaru car as an example

☆Registration Preparation☆

1)stop the engine and close all doors

2)press and hold the red circle button on the smart key

3)while holding “2”, press and hold the rear gate request switch (5-door) green circle within 5 seconds.

4)after more than 5 seconds in the “3” state, the buzzer (beep, beep, beep, …) will start sounding

5)Remove your hand from the red circle button on the smart key and the rear gate request switch green circle.

Press the blue circle button on the smart key within 30 seconds of the buzzer sounding to stop the buzzer and complete the preparation.

In the next operation, press the rear gate request switch (green circle)

1) press the switch 5 times and wait for the buzzer (beep) to sound once

6)perform operations 1 to 5 to confirm the number within approximately 30 seconds after the buzzer (“beep, beep, beep, …”) starts sounding intermittently.

7)When the buzzer (beep) sounds three times and all doors are unlocked and locked, registration is complete.

How to use PIN release

Push the rear gate request switch (green circle) and press the number registered in “How to set the password cancellation”.

1) press the switch 5 times and wait for the buzzer (beep) to sound once

2) press the switch 2 times and wait for the buzzer (beep) to sound once

3) press the switch 2 times and wait for the buzzer (beep) to sound once

4) press the switch 1 times and wait for the buzzer (beep) to sound once

5) press the switch 5 times and wait for the buzzer (beep) to sound once

6)When the buzzer sounds (beep), the key is unlocked.

Locking method (my style)

Be careful not to forget to lock the unlocked car!

I do not have a smart key, so the car remains unlocked.

1)open the driver’s side door and press the centralized door lock button (all doors are interlocked) (red circle)

2)close the door while pulling the door handle (be careful of half-doors)

3)Pull the door handle one more time to check if the door is properly closed.

*For security purposes and to prevent the battery from running out due to a half-open door, we recommend locking the door with a smart key.
