The footsteps of spring are getting louder and the days are perfect for going out.
So I have been enjoying cycling to the fullest.
Akima Plum Grove (Annaka City), Haruna Plum Grove (Takasaki City), Misato Plum Grove (Takasaki City)
Gunma Prefecture has three major ume (plum) groves.
They are the Akima Plum Grove, Haruna Plum Grove, and Misato Plum Grove.
A total of about 250,000 ume trees are planted, and they all start blooming a little before the cherry blossoms.
It is seasonal and sometimes cold depending on the day. But it has a brave beauty at times.

Recommended Route
Isobe Station → Misato Plum Grove → meal break “Haruna Jumonji Udon” → Haruna Plum Grove → Akima Plum Grove → Isobe Station
Reference Course Data
Distance 60 km, running time 3 hours, average speed 20 km/h, total ascent 1000 m, calories 1200 kcal
Good restaurants for a good meal.
Haruna Jumonji Udon near Misato Plum Grove is highly recommended.
“udon (thick Japanese wheat noodles)”
Even if it is crowded, the wait is short, the prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious.
Nearest station
Isobe Station is recommended. (Tokyo Station→Takasaki Station→Isobe Station)
Reason: Because it will be the starting point to connect Isobe Hot Springs and Usui Railway Cultural Village, Usui Pass to Karuizawa, and Myogi Shrine and Haruna Shrine in the next and subsequent cycling tours.
At the end.
I was exhausted from the hard climb on the way up. We were cheered on by passing children. (I really wanted to take a break.)
The hard work made the plum blossoms more beautiful and the udon noodles more delicious.
This is the beauty of cycling.
