There will always come a time when people fall in love. It is an important sentiment.

But as time and age go by, our minds become dull and before we know it, we forget.

I came across an animation that reminded me once again of those old memories.

It is “Garden of Words” directed by Makoto Shinkai.

Original Story : Makoto Shinkai

Director : Makoto Shinkai

Genre : Love

Screening : May 2013

Impressions (how to show)

The story begins with high school student Akizuki Takao and Yukari Yuki) who meet in a garden.

Although it has been more than 10 years since the film was screened, the beauty of the scenery is still astonishing even today.

And sometimes the subjective images in the video play ripples in the mind.

I am conveying the world of the story to the viewers, When I look at the scenes projected on the screen, I see the viewpoints that I usually see, I am always reminded of the viewpoints from which I usually see things, and how other people see things from these perspectives.

The subjectivity with which Akizukitakao looks at Yukari Yuki, who was in the garden, fits the sensation of a man looking at a woman’s gestures, and moreover, it gives us a sense of Yukari Yukari ‘s attractiveness.

Impressions (monologue)

The soliloquies (monologues) in the story convey the feelings of the characters, but they are well combined with the projected scenes and reach the viewer naturally, without feeling cumbersome.

However, overuse of words can lead to evaluations where drawing skills are questioned.

In a sense, I think we have created a work that is an ambitious and challenging experiment.

Impressions (Works by Makoto Shinkai)

I have only recently begun to seriously look at Makoto Shinkai’s works.

Considering the director’s age, how can he express the feelings of these main characters? It was amazing. I was impressed.

Because it is difficult to remember the feelings of the past, even though it is possible to remember the past, because we are so caught up in our daily routines.

The characters in this film are in their adolescent or young adult years, a wonderful time in their lives.

Considering the age of the director during the creation of “Garden of Words,” it is a time of nostalgic memories.

The older director captures the emotions of youth and puts them into animation, with realism and no cartoonishness.

I am still too new to talk about Makoto Shinkai’s work, but I wanted to see all of his films.

I’d like to Read in conjunction with
