This blog is a continuation of the previous blog entry, “New Glasses (Part 2) [blog144]”.

I noticed that it became a long story, “1, 2, 3”.

I wrote about frame selection in the middle part, so let’s move on to lens selection.

My lens selection criteria are…

I think many people choose frames based on design rather than functionality.

On the contrary, I think lens selection is more about functionality than design.

The requirement for my lens selection is “bifocal“.

Recent bifocal lenses are so technologically advanced that the other person cannot tell that they are bifocal lenses when they look at your glasses.

Hence, you can’t tell that they are reading glasses (great).

I thought that the lenses of eyeglasses were “for farsightedness, nearsightedness, and astigmatism,” or at best, only this level of functionality.

However, there were a variety of eyeglass lenses that went beyond the imagination.

From here, it’s a world you don’t know.

Just the lenses alone are so stylish…

Very wide variety of colored lenses.

Not only a variety of seven colors, but also a wide range of color intensity (twin colors are also )

I chose the light brown color on the staff’s recommendation for more effective ultraviolet (UV) protection.

It’s such a light shade that they won’t notice it unless you tell them.

By the way, using it while driving is OK, and I think the photo on the driver’s license was OK too…(hazy memory)

There are other fashionable things like this.

Functional lens

The information here is based on my own interpretation with reference to the eyeglass lens manufacturer “HOYA”.

Ultraviolet (UV)-cutting coat that became my favorite once I started using it.

In the summer when UV rays are strong, removing the UV-cut lens glasses is so effective that you feel dazzled.

Anti-fog coating that I should have put on.

It depends on the shape of your glasses, but if you wear a mask, it will definitely fog up and the world will be covered with fog and it will be very difficult.

I’m worried about the lens gradually getting dirty when I apply anti-fog cream, so I thought it was essential.

Other functional lenses.

At the end

Starting with the awakening of presbyopia, I went to Kitagawa Ophthalmology to get an “eye health checkup & prescription for glasses”.

We spent a lot of time and advice at the optician (Megane Kobo Rin) to choose the glasses.

In the process, I gained a lot of knowledge and experienced a world I didn’t know existed.

As you get older, sooner or later, one of the things that will take care of you is reading glasses.

Some people only use it when they need it, whether at work or among friends.

Everyone has his or her own way of thinking, but I think it is better to get used to using it as soon as possible as if you enjoy fashion.

I am not aware of it, but it seems that tired eyes can cause a lot of stress without me realizing it, and I feel much better after wearing reading glasses.

My daily life is now more comfortable.

I also realized that I was not seeing what I thought I was seeing.

Why don’t you enjoy wearing glasses in a fashionable way without overdoing it?
