I saw “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED SEED FOREEDOM FREEDOM”, although it was late.

The starting work of the story, “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED” was aired in October 2002, so this is the latest work in the SEED series after a 22-year interval.

In the past, information on the new SEED theater has been “in and out and in and out” several times, so I was skeptical until the PV was released, so I’m very happy to hear it.

Impression (as a whole)

It was the most clearly depicted work of the past theatrical Gundam productions.

However, expertise and previous knowledge is inevitably required, and there are some areas that you need to know about.

But in general, the work was enjoyable even without prior knowledge.

The design of robots (mobile suits) makes it easy to tell at a glance who is friend or foe, and also clarifies the reasons for fighting.

The special abilities of some of the best characters in the show are also clearly defined.

However, my own personal impression is frankly that “it was not enough because of its casual content”.

I think that if I make a work that is “deep and full of content” that satisfies me the most, it will probably be commercially unacceptable.

So I’m looking forward to the next work on this point.

nuclear weapons

Nuclear weapons, a common theme in all SEED series, are also depicted here.

For example, assume that nuclear weapons (flying objects) are intercepted and destroyed.

“Can a nuclear explosion ever happen?” And don’t you wonder?

The answer is it won’t happen.

The reason is that interceptive destruction does not lead to the ignition detonation that generates a nuclear explosion.

Nuclear explosions must be precisely detonated (as of 2024) with high-performance explosives and other means.

External shocks and blasts cannot cause detonation.

Precisely the probability of detonation is negligible.

However, the degree of interception will scatter radioactive materials.

Positron Beam and Effects

Shooting a positron beam on Earth (in the atmosphere) and in space have different effects.

Reactions in the atmosphere and in the vacuum of space have different effects.

Shooting a powerful positron beam in space generates an electromagnetic pulse that makes searching difficult.

This means that it can cause a temporary stealth (covert) state.

Never let the muzzle of the gun come in contact with your opponent’s body.

Because it indirectly conveys information to your opponent about your weapon, your timing and your posture.

I’ve kept this “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FOREEDOM” impression short.

I have described my prior knowledge instead.

Gundam-specific expertise has been omitted because many Gundam fans have launched.

At the time of the first Gundam… I think it’s still the same, but we’re getting a science fiction (science fiction) setting.

Therefore, the weapons depicted in the Gundam world are also an extension of the present day.

It will not be feasible yet, but some possible weapons will appear in the near future.

Such weapons are one of the unique pleasures of the Gundam world.

Not only the weapons, but also daily necessities and electronic devices are of course taken from science fiction settings, and it’s fun to imagine, “Is this what the lifestyle of the future will be like?”
