When I start watching animated works, sometimes I intentionally watch works that are not to my taste.

Not only anime, but also movies, books, etc., because they affect our view of life and values in more than a small way!

I dare to do so because I want to keep my knowledge as diverse and neutral as possible.

Then I came across an animation that “blew me away”!

The title is “Dandadan.”

Impression (as a whole)

In a word, it can be described as “riding a screaming machine,” and it is an animated work that continues to show such developments.

Furthermore, the pictures and expressions are unique.

I chose the “2nd PV” for the official site introduction because I thought it was the most calmly expressed and could be introduced.

The more people who don’t usually watch cartoons and the older they are, the more they dislike this cartoon.

However, there is no doubt that it is a work that is too good not to see, such an animated work.

It’s like a “screaming machine,” so when the tempo is fast, it’s very fast.

That can be cleared up by watching it again using the repeat function, or by watching it through once and watching it again.

The conversation will be in the living language used by today’s youth, so there will be words you don’t know.

That’s easy to find out if you look it up on the internet or AI.

It’s a hassle, but knowing what you don’t know will come back to you later.

You may feel that it is a waste of time and energy to just watch the animation, but the production team also puts a lot of energy into the production of the animation without wasting any time (without cutting corners).

Screaming Machine(Japan) → Roller Coaster

Episode 7 – A Gentle World

Especially in “Episode 7, The Gentle World,” the viewer can sense this as well.

I’m going to be blurting out a statement without spoiling the story, but I’m telling the background and the story with only the drawings and almost no dialogue in the recollection scenes.

Cut scenes are thrillingly depicted, uncut in scenes where time moves peacefully, and then closed in a subjective manner in scenes that conclude the recollection.

In creating the weekly animation, I was impressed by the amount of passion and effort that went into it.

The genre of the work is “romantic comedy,” but the original author’s color is strongly reflected in it, and there is a lot of “wildness” in the work.

The romantic comedy of the 1980s anime about a stay-at-home fighter (Ra○ma 1/○) also had expressions that jumped over the line for the time, and this “Dandadan” is no less!

What both works have in common is that both men and women are vividly portrayed and treated with equal respect.

The ambiguity of thoughts and actions toward the opposite sex that is peculiar to adolescence has not changed and does not seem to have changed.

The film also pays homage to other existing works in its direction and dialogue, and it is a pleasure to discover them!

At the end.

Directed by Mr. Fuuga Yamashiro.

I learned about it from watching this cartoon “Dundadan”.

I have only seen the first 10 episodes of the first season, but I thought that the director put more emphasis on direction and presentation than on the beauty of the images.

Nowadays, CG seems to be the norm for animation production, and AI is also beginning to be used.

It is certainly a beautiful image and a great tool with a lot of potential.

However, compared to animated works before 2000, the quality of the drawings and direction seem to have declined relatively.

Director Yamashiro has expressed in “Dundadan” an animated work with such vigor that it “does not let its shadow be trodden on”.

As a result, I feel that I was supposed to see an animated work that was sharp and different from my own tastes, but I found myself watching a work that I liked.

It was a pleasure to see a new generation of animated films!

PS: Now that I think about it, the title of “Dundadan” jumps the line.
